Rejected But Not Unexpected

Got my rejection letter from Analog today. Regrettably (but unsurprisingly), I got a form letter rejection, so it wasn't a particularly close thing. On to the next on the list.

Now that it's out of the way you should relax some. Remember, everyone gets rejected. Everyone. No exceptions.

Reformatted it to the next magazine's specifications. Ready to go out to the next one tomorrow.

I'd probably submit more of my stories if I had any idea where to submit them

Also, sorry for the rejection.

I'm sending this one to Fantasy & Science Fiction next, then Asimov's Science Fiction (both of those are links to their respective submissions guidelines pages).

(I had originally planned to submit it to both of those simultaneously, but Asimov's doesn't allow that. F&SF rejects VERY quickly, so I'm getting that one out of the way first.)

It'll get rejected from both of those places as well, but I'm told I should knock out the big three first. After that, I have a fairly long list of active publications that I'll work down in "I've heard of them" order. I can give you that list if you want, but I'm not sure how useful it will be to you... it's sci-fi(ish) oriented, and the stuff of yours that I've had the privilege of reading has been either fantasy(ish) or weird tales.

I'm not too worried over the rejection. It's kinda strange, actually. I stressed about it really badly leading up to it, and now that it's here and done, I don't much care.
